LH Hotel Dvořák Tábor **** is located in the closed grounds of Kotnov Castle, which is located in the very centre of the town of Tábor. The hotel was created after an extensive reconstruction of the historic brewery building and offers accommodation in 72 spacious rooms. At the cozy La Cave restaurant, guests can sample gourmet specialties prepared with enthusiasm by a team of chefs led by Chef Mr. Martin Pudil, winner of the Culinary Olympiad Singapore 2018.

 

Guests can reminisce about the original use of the hotel's buildings in the unique beer spa, which is a part of the hotel's wellness center. In addition, the hotel offers multifunctional conference rooms with a capacity of up to 750 people, which are an ideal place for holding conferences, corporate events, presentations, exhibitions, but also private celebrations and weddings.

The journey by car from Prague to Tábor takes about 1 hour, depending on the traffic situation. Tábor is about 100 km south of Prague.

 

The journey by car from Brno to Tábor takes about 2.5 hours, depending on traffic and driving speed. The total distance is approximately 160-180 km, again depending on the route chosen.

For your convenience and the safety of your vehicle, we offer both outdoor and covered garage parking spaces right on the hotel premises. Non-guaranteed parking for a fee of 100 CZK / night - paid on site. Guaranteed parking space for a fee of CZK 350 / night - can be ordered when booking your stay.

Behind the history of the town of Tábor

When visiting the town of Tábor, don't forget to explore its important monuments and rich history. Start at the main Žižka square, home to the Hussite Museum, the Medieval Underground and the Gothic Hall with the equestrian statue of Jan Žižka. For an unforgettable view, visit the Kotnov tower, a symbol of the former castle that disappeared in 1532. Finally, stop at the Gothic Bechyně gate, where you can visit the interactive exhibition "The Fortress of the Righteous and the Royal City".

In Tábor you have the opportunity to visit several interesting museums. Sweet lovers will be delighted by the Chocolate and Marzipan Museum, while LEGO fans will be delighted by the Lego Museum. If you like beer, don't miss the Brewing Museum. For those interested in Hussite history and culture, the Hussite Museum is also a great place to explore.

Where to go with children in Tábor

The camp offers many great places where you can go with children. Visit the local ZOO, where Simba the lion will welcome you with his roar. For adventurous souls, there is the Haunted Underground, which hides, for example, the White Lady or a family of vampires. During the summer holidays, you can try out period knight's armor, archery and crossbow shooting in Hous´s mill. The Film Armory is open all year round, where you can find armor and weapons used in the filming of famous films.

Sports activities in Tábor

An indoor swimming pool with an individual relaxation center is available in Tábor for swimming lovers. In the summer season (June - August) you can use the outdoor swimming area with a large pool, water slide, children's wading pool and other water attractions. If you prefer natural swimming, you can go to the newly reconstructed Jordán pond beach. On the beach, among other things, you can play beach volleyball or rent a paddle boat or a boat.

 

Hiking enthusiasts can go on a trip along the Lužnice River Valley Trail, which is on the list of the best trails in Europe. The easy 55 km route is divided into 4 stages, 2 of which can be completed directly from Tábor.

To the ruins of Kozí hrádek

A small ruin near Sezimova Ústí and also one of the places that fundamentally contributed to the emergence of the Hussite tradition in the region. It can be reached by a beautiful walk along the red tourist sign from Sezimova Ústí 2 in less than an hour. Visit the places where Jan Hus stayed.

Go to one of the "most fabulous" Czech castles. The Červená Lhota water park will offer you beautiful indoor exhibits and a wonderful castle park, where you can take a boat ride on the Castle Pond.
